The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 makes "Adequate procedures must be in place to ensure pests are controlled" a legal requirement. Regulation (EC) 852/2004 requires that food safety procedures are written down and that records are kept.
In addition to complying with these regulations, using the services of a pest control company can be submitted as a form of 'due diligence' in case of prosecution under the 1990 Food Safety Act.

This will vary depend on the type of business and size of the premises. Usually at least 8 visits will be required for food premises.
Our contracts for food premises will always cover both rodents and insects on both the interior and exterior of the building. For other types of premises we can also offer rodent only and also exterior/interior only contracts.
Our contracts include a number of free call outs per year to deal with an pests sighted between our regular scheduled visits.
If you have a pest problem that isn’t covered by your contract such as a wasp nest or bird problem, we can give you a competitively priced quote to deal with it.
